Our college hosted the 1st Kerala state mixed team championship organized by Thrissur district judo association under the auspicious of Kerala judo association on 18th February 2020. The registration and weighing of the participants started at 9 am at the college campus .around 60 players registered for this championship from various district associations. The inaugural ceremony started at 12.45 in the central auditorium. Mr. Joy Varghese .k (Executive committee member judo association of India) delivered the welcome address, Sri.Baiu Gopalan (President, Kerala Judo Association) presided the function, inaugural address done By Rev.Dr.Devis Chenginiyadan (Executive Director, Sahrdaya College, Kodakara) National Gold medallist (Athletics) Ms.Ancy Sojan was the chief guest of the function. Our Executive Director Rev.Dr.Devis Chenginiyadan honoured Ms.Ancy Sojan by presenting a memento and cash award. And also we had 4 international judo referees, coaches –Mr.J.R.Rajesh, Miss. Maria Anthony Lee, Mr.Sivanandan, Mr.Sarathchandran, and a national medallist in judo-Ms.Jais Mathew.Our college principal Dr.Jenson P.O and our college Executive Director Rev.Dr.Devis Chenginiyadan honoured these personalities by presenting memento and ponnada. Fr.Sebin Edattukaran (Sports Director, Sahrdaya college, Kodakara),Sri.Joju P.S(Treasurer, Kerala Judo Association) felicitated the function. Sri. Ren P.R (Secretary, Kerala Judo Association) delivered the vote of thanks. The inaugural ceremony was concluded with a judo demonstration. The competition ended at 3.45 pm and the closing ceremony started at 4 pm in the Indoor stadium. Dr.Sebi Jose (HoD, Dept. of Physical Education SCAS) welcomed all the guests and winners to the function.Rev.Fr.Shaju Chirayath (Finance Officer, SCAS) presided the function. Dr.Rani M J (Vice Principal, SCAS) was the chief guest of the function. Mr.Sambasivan K R (Thrissur District Sports Council President) giveaway the medals and trophies to the winners. Sri. Lijo K J (Secretary, Thrissur District Judo Association) delivered the vote of thanks.
