Central Library (Biblioteca) – Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies (SCAS)

Established in 2012, the Central Library (Biblioteca) serves as the intellectual heart of Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies. Our mission is to provide high-quality information resources and services that support the educational goals of the college and meet the evolving needs of our diverse academic community.

Scholarly Initiatives: Agora Journal

The Central Library plays a proactive role in fostering research and academic dialogue. Under the library’s initiative, the college publishes:

  • Automation: Fully automated using Koha, the internationally acclaimed open-source integrated library system.

  • N-LIST (UGC-INFLIBNET) & DELNET: Extensive databases of E-Journals and E-Books.
  • SWAYAM NPTEL Local Chapter: Access to high-quality video lectures and courses.
  • Institutional Repository (IR): A digital archive of E-Theses, Dissertations, Rare Books, and scholarly work.

Smart Access: Web OPAC

The library empowers users with the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC). Through the “My Library Portal,” students and faculty can trace books and manage their accounts from anywhere in the world via desktops or mobile gadgets.
