  Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies started imparting Professional courses along with regular B.Com Degree of the University of Calicut way  back in the academic year 2015 -16 when Chartered Accountancy course was offered along with B.Com Finance. From there, within a span of 5  years, the department has grown leaps and bounds with 9 International and 4 national programmes with 4 Specialisations in B.Com i.e. Professional, Taxation, Finance,Computer Application and Banking with a total of nearly 800 students. Sahrdaya Professional Academy has enabled SCAS to be the first campus in Kerala to offer structured learning to professional programmes with regular B.Com degree.

Scope of the Programme

  • The scope of the finance and accounting sector is increasing in India and across the world with a huge demand for qualified Finance and Accounting professionals

  • There is a huge demand and supply gap for these professionals as the pass percentage of these courses are a bare 17-20% at the national level. But like any other competitive exam of the same genre, a candidate who clears it, will have a future beyond imagination.

  • All these courses are considered as “Evergreen Programmes” as they were in existence for more than 60 years and these professionals who come out every year are the backbone of any economy as no company can function without a Chartered Account, a Cost and Management account and a Company Secretary.

The Sahrdayan Advantage

Even though a student can undergo oral coaching for these courses directly, he/she has the risk of not acquiring the basic degree qualification till he/she completes the professional programme. So there arises the Sahrdayan Advantage

  • The Union HRD ministry in a recent statement has announced that all the degree courses in arts and science are proposed to be converted to degree professional courses to entail employability as well as to enhance the standard of higher education in the country. At this outset, the college has already crossed those criteria well in advance to any other college or University in Kerala.
