The Department of Social Work organized a two- day Theatre workshop on 25th & 26th of October 2022 at Peechi wild life Dormitory. The purpose of the program was to provide an insight about the artistic skills and various theatre art forms which are necessary for the social work students to influence the public. The workshop also opened a door for them to explore their potentials and skills to transform their self as a powerful tool of addressing social issues.
The program was started at 10.00 am on 25th October 2022 with a prayer. The workshop was inaugurated by the resource person Mr. Maniprasad, an expert in the field of Theatre Arts , Film industry and scholar in School of Drama, Thrissur. Total 50 MSW students from Sahrdaya College and SNDP YSS College Malappuram were participated in the workshop. The workshop started with an icebreaking session. The module of the workshop was mainly focused on four major themes which are essential for the art of drama, i.e., concentration, imagination, memory and observation. Based on these four themes various activities and games were carried out.
