Department of Social work observed World Social Day on 16th March 2023 at Seminar Hall, Sahradaya College of Advanced Studies, Kodakkara. Social Work Day Theme of the year 2023 was Respecting Diversity through Joint Social Action. As a part of the Observation, Department organized One day Seminar, Competitions and Inauguration of Department Association – SWASTH. On 14th March 2023 Department orgnized Pencil Drawing, Extempore Speech competitions for the Students. Inauguration of Department Association- SWASTH- Social Work Association for Social Transformation and Human Rights was held on 16th March 2023. The Association inagurated and logo was revealed by Mr. Leo Rajan, Project Head, ICICI Foundation, Alappuzha. The Program was presided by Rev. Fr. Dr. Devis Chenginiyadan, Executive Director, SCAS. Dr. Mathew Paul Ukken, Principal of SCAS has given message on the occasion. Dr. Rani M J, Dr. Joy K L Vice Principal, SCAS Delivered Felicitation Address. Second Semester MSW students has made brief presentations on Association, Department Activities and Social Work Day Theme.
