The NSS unit of Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies has yet again proved being a help for the need. On 21st of February the NSS unit of Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies made a visit to a tribal colony.

Journey towards the destination was completely filled with sharing each other’s thought about how to make this visit more helpful. Being in a forest area, the travelling was mesmerizing and calming. Reaching the destination the students really interacted with the families living there hearing their difficulties and being the best listeners and consoling them to their certain concerns. The programme started with a welcome speech by the programme officer Mr. Akhil Anto which was followed by the presidential address by the range forest officer Mr. Shameer P.M. He shared certain tips about forest, wildlife and the tribal culture of that area. Then Mr. Rajesh shared the need and importance of the PSC and other national exams conducted in our country. Then the students along with the teachers gathered the family members to distribute meal for them. Students interacted with the people and had a memorable day. And by thanking the natives for their kind gestures the unit travelled back to the college with a bunch of memories and a whole new experience.
