The NSS unit of Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies, Kodakara organized a webinar on the topic “WOMEN EMPOWERMENT LAWS” which is undoubtedly a very important topic that is to be made clear to each and everyone in our society. The webinar was conducted on 22nd July 2021 at 7:00 PM. All the 50 volunteers of our NSS unit, PG students, NSS Programme Officer, Vice Principal and Principal actively participated in the session. We started our programme with a prayer song by Deena Mol (NSS volunteer). Then Our Principal, Dr Mathew Paul Ukken welcomed everyone and acknowledged us with the importance of Women Empowerment. Next, our Vice-Principal Dr Rani M.J. delivered felicitation with her strong words on the need and importance of Women Empowerment. After that, we came towards the main part of our programme, Adv. Suma. N (legal advisor, Sakhi-one-stop centre, Irinjalakuda) explained the different Empowerment Laws, Sections and Acts. It was really a great opportunity for all of us to attend a session which is of great social importance now. At last, the programme was concluded with a vote of thanks by Mikhayel Johnson (NSS volunteer). It was a memorable and remarkable session.
