TRACE THE EVOLUTION OF THE INDIAN MEDIASCAPE

The one-day national seminar on "Trace the Evolution of the Indian
Mediascape" held at Prajyothi Niketan College, Pudukad on 27th February
provided a comprehensive overview of the journey of Indian media over the
years. The seminar aimed to shed light on the evolution, challenges, and
future prospects of media in India. The Key Speakers were Mr. M P
Surendran, Curator @ Mathrubhumi; Mr Shashi Tharoor, a third- term Lok
Sabha MP representing Thiruvanathapuram and Mr Favour Francis, Creative

Director @ Oaktree Ad Company.

Our second year Post Graduates attended the seminar and indulged in active
participation by asking queries to the resource persons. The participants were Jones
Anto, Abhay Rajendhra Menon, Sunsi Sundaran, Aishwarya K A, Anu Varghese,
Gayathree Krishnan, Namitha Nelson K, Julieanne R George, Hariprabha M,
Jesslyn Grace Jijo and Aleena Francis. The seminar provided students with
practical knowledge and skills. It effectively engaged and enriched their

understanding of ‘the third estate’ called media.
