On behalf of the MATHEMA 2021, observing National Mathematics Day on December 22, the Department of Mathematics, SCAS organized various competitions for the students of SCAS. The registration was done using Google forms.
Mr. Raju David C., faculty of the department was the quiz master. 33 students participated in the competition. Chaitanya Krishna and Deepthi Thankachan of third year B.Sc. Mathematics secured first and second position and Arya M. S. Of first year B.Sc. Physics bagged the third prize. Deepthi and Arya along with Sanjana of third year B Sc. Mathematics got the same score and a tiebreaker was given by the quiz master.
A sudoku competition was also organized by the department. The competition was to complete the sudoku puzzle within the shortest possible time. A total of 17 students participated. Selin Freya of first year B.Sc. Mathematics, Chaitanya Krishna of third year B.Sc. Mathematics and Ishma Denson of first year B Sc. Mathematics bagged the first second and third prizes, respectively.
The paper presentation competition was also organized by the department. The competition had only one entry and the entry was given a consolation prize. The participant Midhun Babu of first year BCA presented the PPT on December 22, 2021 at 1.30 p.m.
