Women development cell of SCAS organized a medical camp on world cancer day, on 4th February 2020and also conducted an awareness session on Corona Virus. WDC president Ms. Rosalind Manjooran welcomed all the dignitaries and students. Executive director Rev. Dr. DevisChenginiyadan shared the importance of world cancer day and also pointed out the alarming calamity of 2019 nCov and he reminded the students to join the state and the world at large in defending its spread effectively during his presidential address. Followed by a session on 2019 nCoV by Dr. Aleena Antony department of critical medicine, St. James Hospital Chalakudy.
Dr. Aleena gave a total description of Corona Virus, modes of transmission, comparison of Nipah and Corona Virus, lifestyle of China, eating habits to be followed by us, incubation, quarantine period, isolation, other preventive and safety measures. Under the leadership of Dr. Manuel Xavier, medical checkups was went on simultaneously.
Mr. SatheeshNair, Communicative skill trainer, SCAS handled a class on the social impact of Corona. Mr. Sivakumar, Softskill Trainer, SCAS interacted with the students on the topic of bio war. Mr. Adharsh, Placement Trainer, SCAS conducted a group session on ‘lifestyle and life threat’. Miss. Sarika extended a vote of thanks to one and all.
