In this very severe situation of the 2nd wave of covid 19, as another face of caring sahrdaya college of advanced studies offered tele counseling service to covid victims. Kodakara Grama Panchayat and covid Cell of Sahrdaya College and the Department of Psychology,and counselling wing of Human Excellence have jointly started this project. Dr. Varghese Paul, Head of the Department of Psychology at Sahrdaya College, Professors Dr. Sr. Jessy George, Dr. Sr. Bindu Xavier, Counsellor and covid Cell Secretary Rosalind Manjooran, Counsellor Sindhu Thomas, and more than 50 MSc Psychology students are tasked with providing counseling services to the public. Counsellors said covid patients were shared mental stress and problems such as excessive anxiety and depression. To strengthen the defense activities Sahrdaya College of advanced studies has an active presence among society by distributing Covid Prevention Kits, organize Awareness Programs, Disinfect Kodakara Grama Panchayath Office and Premises to support survival efforts during the worst of epidemics. In this 6th phase of vigilance sahrdaya college of advanced studies focuses on counseling and the mental health of the general public.
