The Department of Mathematics, SCAS has organized a Pi Approximation competition on behalf of Pi-Day on March 14, 2022 at 1.00 p.m. in the I year class (Room No.: 202). Registration for the same was done using Google forms (link: https://forms.gle/CDSUyC9GuAqMikrW9). 10 students participated in the competition. The students were asked to write the approximate value of Pi on a paper within 2 minutes and the winner is the one who writes the maximum digits in the correct approximation. The winners were as follows:
First Prize : Deepthi Thankachan (III year B.Sc. Mathematics)
Second Prize : Devadhathan P. M. (I year B.Sc. C.S.) and Athul Krishna K. R. (I year B.Sc. C.S.)
Third Prize : Amrithes P. (I year B.Sc. Chemistry)
Prizes were distributed to the students during the inaugural session of the one-day seminar conducted on March 23, 2022.
