Orientation sessions by Innovation Ambassadors were conducted on August 17, 2021 at 1.00 p.m. through, Google meet . Mr. Sanjo Jose, Librarian and Innovation Ambassador, St. Thomas College, Thrissur and Mr. Joby Jose, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics and Innovation Ambassador, St. Thomas College, Thrissur conducted session for students and faculty members of the college on Innovation and IPR.
The first session was on ‘Innovation and Start-ups’ by Mr. Sanjo Jose, detailing the history and various aspects of innovation, how MIC helps in transforming innovations to start-ups, an overview on IPR, innovation by adaptation and some relevant aspects. He concluded by showing 360-degree view of Kerala Start-up Mission.
The second session was engaged by Mr. Joby Sebastain. He discussed about the IPR and the objectives of IIC. A complete overview of different types of IPR such as patent, copyright, trademark, design, database, trade secret etc. were discussed in detail.
