Venue: Ozhuvathadam Tribal settlement, Adimaly

The Department organized a seven-day community Living camp ‘OPPAM 2022’ for the first semester MSW students from  17/11/2022 to 23/11/2022 at Ozhuvathadam Tribal Village in Adimaly. The camp was inaugurated on 18/11/2022 by the Adimaly Panchayath 2nd ward member Babu K. J. at Community Learning Centre, Ozhuvathadam.

As a Part of Camp activities, the department organized a TOT for the students on 18/11/2022. Mr. Vishnu, Life Skill trainer was the resource person for TOT and the students organized a two day childrens’s camp ‘CHANGATHIKOOTTAM’ for the students and the parents, conducted house visits and an opinion survey on the functioning of Haritha Karma Sena in their village, several interviews and external lectures were also conducted.

As a part of upgrading the Community learning center the students painted the walls of community learning centre with beautiful pictures to create a study friendly environment, donated around 179 books and sports kits to the community learning centre. As part of the drug free village campaign, the trainees conducted street play on the theme ‘consequences of drug and alcohol addiction’  at Irumbupalam and Adimaly on 22nd and 23rd of November 2022. The camp was wind up with a valedictory function held on 23/11/2022 at Community learning centre, Ozhuvathadam.
