ENGLISH @ SCHOOL

ENGLISH@SCHOOL is the outreach programme of the Department of English conducted in collaboration with IQAC of the college nurturing a feeling of well-being and affinity to the society in which one lives. It also aims at imbibing a commitment towards the progress and advancement of the fellow beings by instilling in them English communicative skills which would later help foster employability skills. The programme began with a formal inauguration on October 19, 2023. The students of 2nd year MA English conducted communicative English classes for the students of 3rd and  4th grades in the Government Welfare Lower Primary School, Pulliparakunnu. The students engaged 30 hours of classes spread over 15 weeks, every Friday. On the whole the programme was a success due to the urge to speak in English instilled in the school students. The student-teachers were also inspired to take up teaching as careers considering it the noblest of all professions.
