Western Eastern Language Department conducted anInternational French webinar
<<PARLONS FRANÇAIS>> On 7th July2021.
The Program started at 1.30 pm with a Prayer song by Gayathri. M (Ist year BScPsychology student).Liya Thara (Ist year BSc psychology student) anchored the programme in French and Dr. Mathew Paul Ukken (Principal, SAHRDAYA COLLEGE OF ADVANCED STUDIES,KODAKARA) delivered the welcome speech. In his Presidential Address, Rev Dr, Davis Chenginiyadan sharedhis experience in France.Felicitation was done by Dr. Rani M. J (Vice Principal,SAHRDAYA COLLEGE OF ADVANCED STUDIES, KODAKARA). Ms. Agnes Benhur (Assistant Professor of French)introduced the resource person, Ms. Collete Charboninier Ramos(French accredited translator).Ms. Fadette Badie D’Acris (Assistant Professor, ST. Teresa’s College, Ernakulam) also joined the webinar. She explained the phonetic aspects of the language and Ms.Collete Charboninier Ramos demonstrated the pronunciation by reading out several words and sentences. The students were then requested to read aloud and they responded enthusiastically. All the French students participated and were enriched by the session.After the session Ms. Liya Tara (Ist year BScPsychology student) shared her experience. Ms. Aeshah Rafeeque (Ist year BSc. Geology student) delivered the vote of thanks. 96 students joined the session.
