With a zeal and enthusiasm to express the feeling of unity and secularism, the great day for the nation the 75th Independence Day was celebrated with pomp and splendor in Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies, Kodakara , on 15th August 2021. On this occasion, a small function was arranged by the NSS volunteers.
The program started at 8.30 am with a prayer song sung by the NSS choir. Dr. Fr. Davis Chenginiadan (Executive Director, Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies, Kodakara) hoisted the flag. All the students and dignitaries saluted the flag and then sang the National Anthem with immense respect and honor. After the flag hoisting, Shri. Thomas Mangalan (Retired Soldier) delivered the Independence Day message. Fr. Shaju Chirayath (Finance Manager), Fr. Sebin Edattukaran (Sports Director) shared their messages. NCC and Sports students also attended the function. The programme was concluded by a vote of thanks by Geo Jojy, NSS volunteer. After the conclusion of the event, the NSS students conducted a cleaning campaign in the areas near the college.
