The Post Graduate department of Psychology has conducted the association inauguration on 17th September 2021 at 2,30 pm in the AV room. Msgr. Clarence Paliath, Founder, Manager and Former Principal of St, Joseph’s Arts and Science College, Pilathara affiliated to Kannur University, was the distinguished guest of the day.
The programme started with a prayer followed by welcome speech by Ms. Kathyln Bennet (V Semester B.Sc. Psychology) Ms. Anna Pheenix T S, Assistant professor, Dept of Psychology read the annual report of the association activities for the academic 2019- 2020 and 2020- 2021. Dr.Vargheses Paul K (Head of the Department, Psychology) Appreciated all the winners for their achievements during the academic year 2019-200 and 2020-2021 and appointed Ms. Kathyln Bennett as Association Secretary of the department for the year 2021-2022.In his presidential address, Rev.Dr.Devis Chenginiyadan (Excecutive Director) briefed about the importance of the topic and our esteemed resource persons. He wished for the success of the association activities and inspired the participants for their wholehearted participation. The inaugural speech was given by the Msgr. Clarence Paliath, Founder, Manager and Former Principal of St, Joseph’s Arts and Science College, Pilathara affiliated to Kannur University. He advised the students to utilize the association to develop their skills. Dr. Mathew Paul Ukken (Principal, SCAS)offered his felicitation. Dr.Rani M.J (Vice Principal) and Dr.Joy K.L(Vice Principal) were present in the auspicious occasion
The inaugural session was ended at 3pm, followed by a webinar on “Higher Education Today- A Journey from Qualification to Quality.” Ms Nayeema ( 2nd Year M.Sc.Psychology) introduced the chief guest Msgr. Clarence Paliath. A detailed presentation and discussion on the topic was followed by the vote of thanks by Ms Arya Vinayan (3rd semester B.Sc.Psychology) She thanked all the dignitaries in the dais and participants for gracing the occasion by their solemn presence. She also thanked Technical assistants for providing all kind of facilities to conduct such webinar. Around 150 above students and faculty members were participated in the program. The session was ended at 4:00 pm
