The NSS Volunteers of Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies conducted “Declamation Contest” organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Ministry of youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. The program was conducted on 17th November. The program stared with a prayer song by NSS Choir. Welcome Speech was done by Ms. Sindhu Thomas (Assistant Program Officer). The inaugural address was delivered by Dr. Fr. Devis Chenginiyadan (Executive Director). He motivated and encouraged the participants. The presidential address was by Dr. Mathew Paul Ukken (Principal). Ms. Anju (NYK coordinator) felicitated the function.

After that Declamation Contest commenced. There were 14 participants from different departments. 11 of them participated for English declamation contest and 3 for the Hindi declamation contest. They were judged by 3 judges.

It was an opportunity for the students to spoke up and express their views about PATRIOTISM AND NATION BUILDING. It was really a tough competition. The students were appreciated for their effort. Finally, the contest ended with a vote of thanks by Aleena Shaju (NSS volunteer).
