On 26th July, 2024, the Cambridge Assessment English Department organized a talk oriented with the importance of English Language. The talk was given by Ms Maya Davi Chalissery, Assistant Professor, Vimala College (English Department) on the topic “Communicating with confidence: Developing language skills.”
The session was a very successful one with the vibrant session of Ms Maya Davi, as she shared her own experience and difficulties that arose due to the apartheid attitude of people towards the English language; a global language. The common nuances of English language were also brought into notice by involving an active participation of the students.
The session ended with the students sharing their experiences, asking questions and their feedback. The students were motivated to try certain key activities to improve their English language. The enduring support of the CEM/HoD of CAE Department, Ms Asha Sudheesh and other faculties was radiant throughout the event.
