An anti-narcotics workshop was organized at Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies, Kodakara, in collaboration with the NSS unit, Nerkootam Club, and the IQAC on 26th July 2024. The event was inaugurated by the college’s Executive Director, Rev. Dr. Davis Chenginiyadan, and presided over by Principal Dr. Joy K.L. Mr. Jadir P.M., the Civil Excise Officer from the Irinjalakuda Excise Range and a Vimukthi resource person from the Thrissur Excise Division, led the workshop. He provided detailed explanations about the harmful effects of drug use and emphasized the importance of upholding positive values in life. Dr. Karuna K., the college’s Vice Principal and IQAC Coordinator, administered an anti-drug pledge to the students. The workshop effectively conveyed the message that drugs are not a remedy but a path to destruction, highlighting that life itself is the real high. NSS Assistant Program Officer Reshmi Rajan extended a warm welcome to all attendees, and NSS Program Officer K. Jayakumar delivered the vote of thanks.
