The Department of Mathematics organized the inauguration of the association of the academic year 2022-’23 on September 19, 2022 at 9.20 a.m. The chief guest of the day, Dr. Seema Varghese, Associate Professor, Government Engineering College, Thrissur inaugurated the session by lighting the lamp. The programme was scheduled at room number 212. Head of the department, Dr. Sheeba M. B. welcomed the gathering. Association report of previous academic year was presented. Principal Dr. Mathew Paul Ukken and Vice Principal Dr. Rani M. J. felicitated over the function. Former association secretary George Basil, III B.Sc. Mathematics proposed the vote of thanks. After the inaugural session, a talk was delivered by Dr. Seema Varghese, on “Six Degrees of Separations – Small World Phenomenon”, in which the resourse person introduced the concepts of Graph theory, Network Theory, Milgrim Experiment, Koningsberg Bridge problem and various applications of network theory. The meeting ended by a vote of thanks by Aparna K. J. of I B.Sc. Mathematics at 11.00 a.m.
