Career Development Model programs intend to engage students with participation, activity, and do much more than take a test. The Competitive Exam Training wing of the Department of Human Excellence conducted CAREER FOCUS to enhance students’ clarity have a clear vision regarding their career paths. Programme arranged in two sessions; the morning session was for Arts, Science, and Management students of the first year UG on 13/10/2023. The second session was for all first-year Commerce students. The program started with a prayer followed by a welcome address by Mr. Satish Nair, HOD of HED. Prof. V J Thomas presided over the function. Mr. Nidhin Jose, a well-known career trainer and employee of the central university, was the resource person. Rev. Fr. Nougene Vithayathil gave a clear idea of the Lumen Academy and appropriate courses for getting into a career. Mr. Nithin gave a broad session about various job opportunities in public, private, semi-governmental, and MNC’s. He also informed the students regarding respective competitive examinations for each job. At the end of the session, there was a very interesting doubt-clearing session that made the students more productive. The program ended with a vote of thanks by Ms. Rosalind Manjooran, student counselor of SCAS.
