Caste & Creed Discriminating Complaints (For Staff & Students)

In 2016, Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies started a grievance redressal cell in order to protect its staff and students belonging to marginalized (SC/ST/Dalit) communities. The staff and students of our college are provided with innumerable opportunities to help them achieve their full potential without facing any kind of discrimination due to their caste or creed. This in turn helps in the smooth conduction of teaching and studying for the faculty and students respectively. Providing a non-discriminatory atmosphere for the members of the aforementioned marginalized communities helps them in attaining a brighter future.

The aim of this cell is that no individual part of the college should discriminate any staff or student based on caste, creed, religion and gender. The college gives importance to the wellbeing of its staff and students belonging to these castes and communities, and in taking appropriate measures if any misconduct has been reported. Till now, there has been no incidences of discrimination from the management, staff and students. In any instance where a discriminatory action takes place, prompt action will be taken.

Objectives:

  • To ensure that the college authorities and faculty members does not indulge in any form of caste discrimination against Schedule Caste (SC), Schedule Tribe (ST) and Dalit staff and students.
  • To provide a suitable atmosphere for SC/ST/Dalit staff and students.
  • To create optimistic attitudes towards SC/ST/Dalit staff and students.
  • To encourage the SC/ST/Dalit staff and students to express their grievances without fear of being victimized
