Constitution Day Celebration
To commemorate the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Indian Constitution, the NSS Unit 291 and IQAC of Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies, Kodakara, jointly organized a grand Constitution Day celebration. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Kamaneesh Kumar K., Special Court Judge, Thrissur, who delivered an inspiring address on the topic “Constitution and Ethics” and interacted with the students, shedding light on the relevance of constitutional values in contemporary society.
The ceremony was presided over by the College Executive Director, Dr. Fr. Devis Chenginiyadan, who emphasized the significance of upholding the principles of the Constitution in daily life. The College Principal, Dr. Joy K.L., led the gathering in reciting the Preamble and administered the constitutional pledge to the students, reinforcing their commitment to democratic ideals.
Rev. Fr. Anto Vattoli, the College Finance Officer, extended heartfelt greetings and encouraged the students to honor the spirit of the Constitution. As a mark of respect, Prof. V.J. Thomas, Dean of Commerce and Management Studies, felicitated the chief guest with a ceremonial shawl.
The event began with a warm welcome speech by the Vice Principal, Dr. Karuna K., who highlighted the importance of the day. The celebration concluded with the NSS Program Officer, Mr. K. Jayakumar, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the event. The program was a fitting tribute to the Constitution and served as a platform to educate and inspire students about their responsibilities as citizens of India.
