The NSS unit in collaboration with the Covid Cell of Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies arranged a Covid-19 prevention awareness programme in Kodakara to raise awareness against the spread of Covid-19 virus and the importance of taking the vaccine. The NSS coordinators and volunteers were assembled in college by 9:00 AM. The volunteers reached The Grama Panchayath Office of Kodakara by 11:00 AM. The NSS Programme Officer Akhil Anto welcomed everyone. The finance officer of SCAS Fr. Shaju Chirayath delivered the presidential address.

The programme was inaugurated by Panchayath President Smt. Ambili Soman. She expressed her sincere gratitude to NSS unit for organizing such an awareness programme and making people conscious about the second wave of Covid 19 and its effects. The Panchayath committee members, proprietors and the pedestrians were present.

The NSS volunteers distributed Sanitizers, and masks and shared Covid-19 awareness tips to the people in Panchayath Office, Civil Station and Kodakara market. Thus, the NSS volunteers have assured that they had successfully created awareness among the public about the necessity of taking vaccine against Covid-19.
