DEEKSHARAMBH 2024-25 : STUDENT INDUCTION PROGRAM UG
The Deeksharambh for the academic year 2024-25was held on 1st July 2024. The registration started at 8:45 am. The programme started with Rangapooja and Holy scripture readings. The welcome address was made by Dr. Joy K L, Principal, SCAS. He extended a very cordial welcome to all the dignitaries of the function.
Our Patron, Bishop Mar Pauly Kanookadan, Irinjalakuda Diocese was specially honoured and on this day. Rev. Dr. Devis Chenginiyadan, Executive Director, SCAS spoke words of praise for our Patron and enumerated the exemplary qualities of the Honourable Bishop.
After the message by our Patron, Executive Director Rev. Dr. Devis Chenginiyadan delivered the presidential address. He spoke about the core of Sahrdaya, encouraging students to be make use of opportunities and be active participants in the fulfilment of the vision and mission of the college. He advised the students about the good practices to be cultivated in college, envisioning the future of Sahrdaya which is entrusted largely to the student community.
This was followed by an overview of Finance and Facilities by Rev. Fr. Anto Vattoly, Finance Officer, SCAS, in which Father, gave a detailed description of the various facilities available and guidelines for students using transportation and amenities in the college.
A cultural programme was performed by students of SCAS during which tea and snacks were served to all the attendees.
Praveen Chirayath, Corporate Trainer gave an engaging and interesting talk to the students and parents.
Vice Principal Dr Karuna K, specified the intricacies of the FYUGP after which the live streaming was hosted till the inauguration of the FYUGP by Shri Pinarayi Vijayan, Honourable Chief Minister of Kerala.
It was followed by the academic overview presentation by Professor V J Thomas, Dean of Commerce, SCAS. Commendation was provided by PTA President Mr. Thomas Mathew.
Ms Jayamol P James, Asst. Professor gave an introduction on Linways, the Management Information System of the college.
Vote of thanks was accorded by Ms. Asha Sudheesh, Head of the Department, HED and CAE. The induction programme came to an end with closing instructions for the students regarding the next day and the National Anthem.
