An essay writing contest was conducted by the department of psychology in association with World Mental Health Day. The contest was conducted on 9th October 2021. The contest was for the students and 24 students registered for the contest and 19 of them participated. The contest was conducted through online mode and the topic of Essay writing contest was mental health in unequal world. The students were given a time period of 2 hours for writing and uploading the essay. The participants was given proper guidelines for writing the essay and the judges of the Essay writing contest was Dr. Sr. Jessy George (Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology) and Dr.Sr. Karunya (Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology).The results of Essay writing contest was announced on 13th October 2021 and the first position was secured by Gloria Inasu of III Semester BSc Psychology, Second position by Arya Vinayan of III Semester BSc Psychology and the third position was shared by Jisna Joby of V Semester BSc Psychology and Sneha Suresh of I Semester BSc Psychology. All winners were awarded with E-certificate and for the first and second positions cash prize was also awarded.
