Faculty Exchange Programme

On 28th Oct 2021 a faculty exchange programme was conducted as a part of UGC. According to VGC Special assistance programme SAP was initiated in 1963 mainly for research and teaching Study Center of Advanced stydly CK CAS) in 1963. Some of these centers all over India got recognitions and financial support from UNDP and UNESCO. The Department of Special assistance (DSA) and Department of Research support (DRS) were started in 1972 and 1977 respectively for the improving the education quality.
This programme launched by Psychology Departments of SN College Vadakara and Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies was an introductory session. The faculty exchange programme was coordinated by Faculties of Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies and Faculties of SN College Vadakara. The Programme was started with a silent prayer and Dr. Varghese Paul K , HOD of Department of Psychology delivered the welcome speech followed by an introductory session and Dr. Varghese Paul K , HOD of Department of Psychology, Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies introduced all the faculties of Department of Psychology , Sahrdaya College Of Advanced Studies and Harsha M HOD of Department of Psychology, SN college Vadakara introduced all the faculties of Department of Psychology , SN college Vadakara. The programme started by discussing about the MSc Clinical Psychology Syllabus. Faculties of both college spoke about the pros and cons of current syllabus and about the unavailability of reference books. The faculties also discussed about the practicals of Clinical Psychology. These practicals are very difficult and also the lab equipments are very expensive. Ms.Anna Pheenix T S spoke about the upcoming revised syllabus of MSc Clinical Psychology. In this new syllabus 3 papers that was there in earlier syllabus have been removed. Current Trends, Advanced Social Psychology and Holistic Psychology is removed in the current syllabus. The meeting winded up at 9pm with the vote of thanks by Dr. Varghese Paul K , HOD of Department of Psychology, Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies and Ms.Harsha M HOD of Department of Psychology, SN college Vadakara.
