The Department organised an Association Inauguration of Fintech for the Academic Year 2022-23 on 18 October, 2022 at 2pm at Seminar Hall, Admin Block, SCAS.
CA Pramod S.H, Partner at Thomas Pramod and Associates, Chartered Accountants was the Resource Person. The Programme started with a silent prayer by Ms. Nithya N.T, Student Representative, II B.Com Fintech. Dr. Hanna Joseph, Assistant Professor and Fintech Course Co-ordinator, Department of Commerce delivered the welcome speech followed by Report Presentation by Ms. Sandhya Gopinath, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce. Rev. Dr. Devis Chenginiyadan, Executive Director, SCAS delivered the Presidential Address. Mr. Pramod S.H officially inaugurated the Fintech Association by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Dr. Mathew Paul Ukken led the Investiture and the office bearers for the Academic Year 2022-23 took charges after taking the oath. Mr. Amal Laju, II B.Com Fintech was elected as the Association Secretary, Mr. Akash Vijaykumar Pillai, I B.Com Fintech was elected as the Joint Secretary and Mr. Steve Sunny, III B.Com Fintech was elected as the Treasurer for Fintech. The Resource Person was honoured with a memento by the Executive Director which was followed by Prize Distribution for the winners of Business Plan competition conducted by the Department of Commerce. The prizes were distributed by Vice Principals Dr. Rani M.J and Dr. Joy K.L. Mr. Amal Laju, Association Secretary, Fintech proposed the Vote of Thanks. Mr. Steve Sunny, Treaurer, Fintech introduced the Resource Person which was followed by a talk by CA Pramod S.H. The students interacted with the Chief Guest by asking questions and Mr. Pramod answered their
queries. The Programme was concluded by Mr. E.S Hrishikesh, Student representative, Fintech by delivering the feedback of the session. The session was compered by Ms. Kavyasree, Student Representative, Fintech. The faculty members of the department actively participated in the session. The total participants for the session was 200.
