Department of Geology & IQAC of Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies, Kodakara conducted a one-day Seminar (Geo-Target-2023) on career opportunities in geo science. The program is conducted on 31st March, 2023 at 9.00 am in the seminar hall. Dr. Joji V. S (Associate Professor and HOD, Department of Marine Geology and Geophysics, School of Marine Sciences, Cochin University of Science and Technology, Cochin) was the distinguished guest of the day. The program started with the welcome address of Asst. Prof. Jeena Jose. K, Course coordinator of the Department of Geology and Rev. Fr. Dr. Devis Chenginiyadan (Executive Director), presided the session. Principal message was given by Dr. Mathew Paul Ukken (Principal). Felicitations was given by, Dr. Joy K.L (Vice Principal).
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Joji V. S by lighting the lamp and delivered a talk on career opportunities in geo science and ways to obtain high score in competitive and University exams. The session was very informative. Students were able to learn about new career opportunities and various methods to obtain high score in competitive and University exams. And there was an interactive session followed by the talk. The session was concluded with the vote of Thanks by Vishnu Sankar, IInd year B.Sc. Geology student. 51 students and 4 faculties from the Department participated in the program. The inaugural function was a remarkable one and the program was a grand success.
