The Postgraduate Department of English organised the seventh talk of Lantern Alumni Talk Series from 7.30pm to 8.15pm, on Saturday 06 April 2024, on Google Meet. Mr. Sreejith K Marar, the alumnus (MA English 2019-’21 batch), engaged a wonderful interactive session on a platform comprising 35 participants (staff and students of the department). Presently working as higher secondary teacher at Bharti Vidya Mandir, Theni, he is an author, compiler, short film director and Youtuber. The session was very engaging as the alumnus instilled in the participants a positive attitude towards life by relating how he progressively utilised the choices and opportunities that came in his way during student life. The session commenced with a moment of prayer followed by the welcome speech delivered by Prof. Dr. Sanil Raj J, Head of the Department. Ms. Beegam Jahana TS, 4th semester BA English student and department association secretary introduced the alumnus and the Talk commenced subsequently. After an active interaction session, Ms. Afreena KR, 2nd semester MA English student and the student coordinator of the event proposed the vote of thanks. The faculty coordinator Assistant Professor Sheena Sarah Winny was the moderator.
