Sahrdaya Road Safety Club (SRSC) had been inaugurated on Friday 27th July 2018 by Mr. Shahul Hameed, Dy SP, Chalakudy. The programme Life Alarm 2018 commenced at 2.00 p.m at the central auditorium on 6th July 2018. Mr. Vinay Menon, Executive member SRSC welcomed the gathering. Ms. Regitta Jaison, Vice President SRSC presented the report of activities of the club. The pledge on road safety was administered by Mr. Shahul Hameed. In the inaugural address, Mr. Shahul Hameed exhorted the students to maintain rules of road safety in the best interest of each one of them and not for the safety of any police officers. Mr. Shahul Hameed educated on the 4 major reasons for the road accidents – over speed, mixing alcohol with driving, carelessness, negligence of traffic rules, using mobile phones while driving. He also highlighted the precautions to be taken to avoid accidents. The SRSC representatives submitted a memorandum to the DySP, raising their various issues related to road safety. It was a big achievement worth mentioning that Mr. Shahul Hameed gave his word that the various issues given in the memorandum by the students will be taken care of and implemented within a week itself. Rev. Fr. Titus Kattuparambil, Executive Director honoured the chief guest by handing over the memento. Mr. Agnel Vincent, President SRSC extended vote of thanks. The meeting concluded at 3.00 p.m with the National Anthem.
