Mathematics is essential in many fields, including natural science, engineering, medicine, finance, and the social sciences. Mathematics, the science of structure, order, and relation that has evolved from elemental practices of counting, measuring, and describing the shapes of objects. It deals with logical reasoning and quantitative calculation, and its development has involved an increasing degree of idealization and abstraction of its subject matter. Since the 17th century, mathematics has been an indispensable adjunct to the physical sciences and technology, and in more recent times it has assumed a similar role in the quantitative aspects of the life sciences.

Department of Mathematics was started in the year 2014. In order to realize the vision and mission, the department aims to impart an education par excellence for inculcating interest in Mathematical Sciences and for all-round developments of the students. The department also aims to elevate it to a postgraduate study center in Mathematical Science.

Propagation and promotion of Mathematics culture through qualitatively upgraded education and personality enhancement to grab opportunities offered by the times at a global level.

To impart knowledge in mathematical sciences which is functionally useful and socially relevant and empower the students to meet the global challenges of the present society.
