Western Eastern Language Department , Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies,Kodakara conducted a National Webinar on “ हिन्दी में रोज़गार के अवसर “ in collaboration with the Hindi Department of St.Aloysius College, Elthuruth on 12th February 2022 from 10.30 am to 12.00pm. The resource person of the session was Dr. Shahul Hameed, Professor, Department of Hindi, Aligarh Muslim Central University,U.P.
Divya, student of Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies anchored the Webinar. It started with a prayer by Nivedya , student of St.Aloysius College. Thereafter Ms. Aradhika T V, HOD, Western Eastern Language Department welcomed the participants. Presidential Address was delivered by Dr.Chacko Jose P, Principal, St.Aloysius College. Rev. Dr. Devis Chenginiyadan , Executive Director , Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies inaugurated the webinar and delivered the inaugural speech. Mr. Melvin Luke George, IQAC Coordinator, St.Aloysius College and Ms. Sheena Sarah Winny , IQAC Coordinator, Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies offered felicitation. Dr. Raju C P, HoD, Department of Hindi, St.Aloysius College introduced the guest. Thereafter the session on the topic “ हिन्दी में रोज़गार के अवसर “ by resource person Dr. Shahul Hameed, Professor, Department of Hindi, Aligarh Muslim Central University, U.P., started. He made the participants aware of the job opportunities in government and private sectors. In his speech he also mentioned that learning Hindi as an additional language is not a deterant and thorough knowledge of the language will pave the path to a successful career in your chosen field. He elaborated on the various job opportunities open to Hindi language experts in the field of Education, Journalism, Translation, Literature, Media and the service sector. He used simple language (Hindi) which enabled all the participants to understand the session easily. An interactive session followed wherein the participants had several questions which was answered by the resource person to their entire satisfaction. The participants enjoyed the fruitful session which shed light on the opportunities available to them by learning Hindi. The session ended with a vote of thanks by Nisha K, Assistant Professor, Western Eastern Language Department, Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies.
The webinar was attended by 155 participants from various colleges. The participants from Ahmednagar College, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, Pondichery University, The American College, Madurai, truly made the webinar a national one.
