REPORT ON THE NATIONAL MEDIA MEET 2024
The two-day national media meet on the topic INDIAN MEDIA @2024; Misrepresentation, Manipulation and Stereotyping held at ANSAR Women’s college, Perumpilavu on 4 th & 5 th March 2024 provided a comprehensive overview of media in present days. Second year BA English students attended the National Media Meet and indulged in active participation by asking queries to the resource persons. The media meet discussed about the media
misrepresentation, manipulation and stereotyping.
Mr. Siddique Kappan ,Indian journalist inaugurated the official session Dr. Krishna Sankar Kusuma from AJK mass communication research centre delivered the keynote address. After that Open Forum was taken place in the peace square of the campus.
R Rajagopal Chief Editor of Telegraph, Nishad Ravuthar Editor of Mediaone , V.P Rajeena Indian journalist were joined the
discussion on the topic Mediated Communication in the Post-truth Era: Freedom of Speech and Fact Checking. In the second of meet, session begins with Prof(Dr). Abdul Muneer V, Professor of Journalism and Principal, EMEA arts and science college, Kondotty. He discussed about the present day advertising field.
