Department of Geology along with Department of Chemistry and Physics of SCAS organized a one day science workshop “NEOMA_2022” for high school students in collaboration with EKN centre for Education, Research & Development, Irinjalakuda on 16th July 2022 at Sahrdaya College of Advanced studies. The formal inaugural function began at 10.00 am in the seminar hall. Prof. K P Chandrasekharan Head of the department of Physics welcomed the gathering. Rev. Dr. Devis Chenginiyadan, Executive director of SCAS formally inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp. Dr. Mathew Paul Ukken, Principal of SCAS delivered the presidential address. Sahrdaya college of Advanced studies signed a MoU with with EKN centre for Education, Research & Development, Irinjalakuda in the function. Dr. Rani M J, Dr. Joy K L ((Vice principals of SCAS) and Mr E Vijayakumar (EKN-“STEP” Secretary) felicitated over the function. The official function came to an end with a vote of thanks by Prof. Davis K J, HOD of Geology. 125 selected students from 14 High Schools of Kodakara and Irinjalakuda region participated in the workshop. The students got opportunity to visit and learn laboratory experiments and projects of Geology, Physics and Chemistry Departments. The event concluded with a valedictory function for Certificate distribution in the central auditorium at 4.15 pm.
