ORPHANAGE VISIT – 1st Year BSc CS
On October 12, 2023, the first-year Bsc Computer Science students along with faculty members visited Abhaya Bhavan, a mercy home in Porathissery, Irinjalakuda. The purpose of the visit was to make Students aware about the lives of the residents in this noble institution and to inculcate the feeling of sympathy and understanding among the students. This activity also help students to understand that they have larger responsibility towards the society and its well-being other than their own studies and career progression
We started travelling from the college campus at 9.30 am.
The students were warmly welcomed by Rev. Fr. Jinoj Kolencherry, the Director of Abhaya Bhavan. In this visit students are overwhelmed by seeing the conditions of the people who are bedridden and give rise to the thought of how they are blessed by God with healthy conditions
Almost 27 people with physical and mental difficulties are taken care here. All on bed. The sisters and support staff are doing a very great and sacrificing job to support the inmates every day.
