On behalf of the World Photography Day on August 19, the Department of Mathematics of SCAS organized a Photography Competition, REFLECTION, for the students of the college. The topic for the competition was “PRACTICAL MATHEMATICS, mathematics that you see around you”. The brochures of the competition along with the rules and regulations of the competition were circulated among the students of the department through Linways and social media during the first week of August. Students were asked upload the photo with a title and description along with their name, class and a photo of heir ID card in the google form on or before August 17, 2021, 4 p.m. Out of the 9 entries the winners were selected and declared on August 19, 2021. The result is as follows:
First Prize: Sona Ginish, III Sem B.Com ACCA
Second Prize: Mimsi Mubarak, V Sem B.Sc. Physics
Third Prize: Akhil Prasannakumar, III Sem, B.Sc. Geology
The winners were given a merit certificate and cash prizes as follows:
First prize: Rs. 500/-
Second prize: Rs. 300/-
Third prize: Rs. 200/-
A discussion of the photographs uploaded by the participants was conducted among the students of the Department on September 17, 2021 at 1.00p.m.
