The human excellence department organized a motivational session for the entire student body of SCAS on 24th February 2020 in relation to Pro-life day (25th February). We had Dr. Reju Varghese Kalleli, pediatrician of Dhanya mission hospital as our chief guest for the day. Vice Principal Dr. Rani MJ, Finance officer Rev. Fr. Shaju Chirayath, and HOD of Human Excellence Department Ms. Sinimol PJ graced the occasion with their presence. Ms. Savitha Vijayan delivered the welcome address, which was followed by a meaningful session by Dr. Reju on relationships and family values. He indicated the fact that right from conception, life in the womb is to be cared for as precious and valuable and we’ve no right to destroy or spoil the life within. He shared many examples from his own family life, children, and his experience from meeting different people on a daily basis. He insisted that the students should develop a deep intimacy with their parents and encouraged them to share their daily experiences with them. He also pointed out that how and where a wrong relationship or friendship will lead them. He concluded the session by explaining the importance of being wise and patient while taking a crucial decision in life and told the students to make sure that they get the blessings of their parents in everything that they do. The session concluded with the vote thanks of Ms. Raseena Shanavas of second-year BSc. Psychology.
