OBJECTIVES

* To develop reading and comprehension skills.

* To cultivate a passion for reading, introduce readers to new genres and authors, and emphasize the importance of books in promoting knowledge.

In connection with National Reading Day on 19/06/2023 the Department of Human Excellence conducted various activities along with the Central Library, PG Department of Language and IQAC. The inaugural programme was held at the central auditorium at 9 AM. Mr. Ravunni, an eminent personality in the field of literature, inaugurated the reading week and enlightened the students by reciting poems and inspiring words.

A book fair was arranged in the central auditorium immediately following the inaugural ceremony. Pavilions of various companies like DC Books,Mathrubhumi, H&C, THE HIUNDU were set up for the exhibition.

The advanced learners of each class took the leadership of reading week activities. All students visited the stalls class-wise.The book fair included a diverse selection of books from various categories, which are listed below: mystery books, children’s literature books, poetry books, fiction books, and non-fiction books.The book fair allowed students to discover new books and writers, and it helped to foster a love of reading in our college.

* Enhanced reading and comprehension skills in students.

* Introduced readers to new genres and authors.
