As the second outreach activity in Covid-19 pandemic, Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies, Kodakara distributed prevention kits to the employees of MGNREGS (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme) and to the auto drivers of Kodakara Grama panchayath in order to create among them an awareness on preventive measures. SCAS arranged an outreach programme –Reach to the Unreachable at Kudumbasree hall of Kodakara panchayath on June 08, 2020.
The meeting started with a silent prayer. Ms. Rosalind, staff representative, extended a warm welcome to all. An introductory speech was delivered by Executive Director, Rev.Fr. Dr. Devis Chenginiyadan, in which he pointed out the importance of physical as well as psycho-spiritual well-being of individuals. Mr. T.R Prasadan, President of Kodakara Grama Panchayath presided over the function.
SCAS Principal Dr. Jenson P.O handed over the Covid-19 prevention kits to the Panchayath President. Then the kits were distributed to the MGNREGS employees and to the Auto drivers.
Finance officer Rev.Fr. Shaju Chirayath, AE of MNGREGS Ms.JalajaV.M, Vice President Ms. Sudha, all ward members as well as staff representatives of SCAS participated in the function.
