The department of chemistry, Sahrdaya college of Advanced Studies along with IQAC, organized a seminar on Food safety aspects and common methods for detection of adulteration on 21/02/2021 at 02.30 pm in connection with National science day. Dr. Rekha A (Food Safety Officer, Chalakudy circle) was the resource person .The program was started with a prayer followed by welcome speech of Dr. K.L. Joy (Vice Principal & HOD Chemistry).  Rev. Dr. Devis Chenginiyadan (Executive director, Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies) inaugurated the program with his presidential address. Dr. Mathew Paul Ukken (Principal, Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies) gave the message for students. Dr. Rani M.J. (Vice Principal, Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies) delivered the felicitation addresses. After the felicitation, resource person provided the talk and it was very informative and interesting one.She gave a detailed explanation about different adulteration methods, it was very useful session for students for their further studies. Ms. Nivitha Varghese (II.BSc Chemistry student, Sahrdaya College of Advanced studies) gave the vote of thanks. Around 80 participants took part in this seminar.
