Department of Geology & IQAC of Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies, Kodakara In association with Department of Geology & Environmental Sciences Christ College, Autonomous, Irinjalakuda conducted a seminar on Geological Problems In Kerala & Career Opportunities In Geology on 3rd March 2022 at Seminar Hall of Sahrdaya college. This collaborative seminar was organized as a part of an active MoU existing between both departments. Mr. Sajeevan K K (Sr. Geologist, Rtd, Directorate of Mining & Geology) was the Resource person of the Seminar. Prof. Davis K J, Head of the Department of Geology, SCAS welcomed the gathering. Rev.Fr. Dr. Davis Chenginiyadan, Executive Director of Sahrdaya College presided the session and Mr. Tharun R (Assiatant Professor, Christ College Irinjalakuda) given felicitation to the programme. The seminar was attended by the Geology students and faculties of Sahrdaya College and Christ College. Mr. Sajeevan has described about the various geological problems of our state and reminded the necessary actions that we should take from our side as a future geologist. He also added details of career opportunities, scope and importance of geology in the contemporary times. The seminar was given an insight to the students and teachers of Geology and it boosted their enthusiasm. Finally, the seminar was concluded with Vote of Thanks by Association Secretary Ms. Nandapriya.
