As part of “ഹരിതകേരളം” program of the government, the NSS unit of Sahrdaya College of Advanced Studies made a vegetable garden near the college canteen. The program started by 1.30 in the afternoon. It was headed by the NSS program officer Mr. Akhil Anto. The unwanted grasses were pulled off, the waste materials were disposed and the volunteers cleaned up the mess. The area was cleared up and NSS volunteers planted banana saplings, curry leaves, cucumber saplings etc… in the canteen area. Through this, the volunteers learned to take care of the nature and preserve it. The active participation of the volunteers made the venture a successful one. A total of 20 NSS volunteers participated and the program ended by 3.30 pm.
