On 5th June 2018, HR Department SCAS took initiative to conduct World Environment Day observance on 5th June 2018 at central auditorium with the leadership of Nature Club members. The programme started with prayer by college choir followed by recitation of Holy Bible by Mr. Alwin. Mr. Tins Jose HR Manager welcomed all. Mr. P R Prasadhan , President Kodakara Gramapanchayath inaugurated the function by watering the plant in presence of Rev. Fr. Titus Kattuparambil , Executive Director who launched the logo of the day – SIgNature 2018 . Fr. Shaju Chirayath , Finance Officer distributed the saplings collected from District Forestry Departments to Deans & Student representatives. Dr. N M Shantha (Asst. Professor, Malayalam Department) presented message of the day. Dr. Rani M J, Vice Principal administered the environment day pledge to the audience. The official function came to an end with the vote of thanks by Ms. Annie Faith, followed by the college anthem. The remaining saplings were distributed among the third year students and staff.
