The Department of Management Studies in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council of SCAS conducted the inauguration of the SMART TALKS Series, a talk series initiated by the Sahrdaya Management Association for Refining Talents (SMART) Alumni. The inauguration was conducted on July 28, 2022 at 2.00 p.m. in the Seminar hall by the Executive Director, Rev. Dr. Devis Chenginiyadan. The head of the Department of Management Studies Prof. Savio Fernandez gave the welcome address and Principal Dr. Mathew Paul Ukken delivered the message. Ms. Parvathy G. Menon, President, IIC delivered the vote of thanks.
After the inaugural session, Ms. Nikita Mary Joseph (SMART Alumni – 2015-2018, Alumni Association Joint Secretary and Business Systems Analyst, Deloitte USI – Hyderabad), gave a talk on “Up-Skilling Globally”. She started by asking the student’s opinion regarding the number of job opportunities in the current situation. She then explained to them the soft skills required for today’s highly competitive global world, shared her experiences in college and her plan of action for securing her dream job. Ms. Nikita also encouraged the students to make their resumes and attend the interviews to have a hand-in experience. The talk concluded by 3.10 p.m.
