Teacher’s Day in India was first observed in the year 1962. The day commemorated the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. He was the first Vice-President and second President Bharat Ratna awardee, who was born on this day in 1888.
Department of Human Excellence initiated to celebrate Teacher’s Day on 5th September 2023 at 9am in the central auditorium with the cooperation of student community. The programme started with ‘Guruvandanam’ – a dance performance by the SCAS students.
The Executive Director, Rev. Dr. Devis Chenginiyadan enlightened the teachers with his inspiring words. Finance officer Rev. Fr. Anto Vattoly addressed the gathering with a Teachers day message. The management honoured the Principal, Vice Principals, DEANs,HODs and teachers by providing rose flowers, gifts and cards made by students.
The student representatives from each UG and PG batches proposed heart-touching gratitude towards the teachers. The total event was memorable.
