Department of Social Work organised two day workshop for the Second and Fourth Semester students of MSW Programme on 19th and 20th January 2024 at Nilambur in collaboration with Association for Social Engraining and Entrepreneurship Development (ASEED) Malappuram. Mr. Binil President, Mr Nikhil -Secretary and Mr Shibu- Treasurer of ASEED was the Resource Persons for the workshop. The workshop was organized to equip the students with techniques of PRA and its hand on training. Theoretical lectures and brainstorming activities on tools of PRA were given to the participants. The tools discussed were focused group discussion, social mapping, seasonal calendar, and Transect walk and problem tree analysis. Mr Sudheesh Maruthalam Music Director and Play back Singer, Shri Vinodh C Manjeri, First M.Phil holder from Cholnaikam community were interacted with students. Camp Fire, Community visit to tribal settlements of Chaliyar Grama Panchayat and trekking were conducted as a part of the Workshop. 28 students and two faculty members participated in the workshop.
