As a part of outreach programme, the second and third year students of the Department of Mathematics visited “Sangamagrama” the birth place of the ancient mathematician Madhava near Kalletumkara on 21th November 2024. Ms.Divya E and Ms.Sreeja Santhoshkumar accompanied the students. The team started their journey at 10 am. A brief history of Madhava was narrated by Mr.Subhash  – one of the successor of Madhava. The students got an opportunity to see the rock bed where he laid to observe the stars and created new ideas in astronomy. They also watched the scripts and calculations made by him written on the pillars of the temple. The students are enlightened by watching all these. They reached college at 12.30 p.m.
